MY jeep Stall in Idle speed
jeep starts regular to high idle then stalls when system returns to idling rpm, jeep runs when rpm is is kept over
idling speed. Shuts down when foot taken off gas and gos to idle. Will restart over and over again but stalls when engine
go to idle. Any ideas ? Thanks in advance. I have checked all the simple things.
Some of the answer that came in :
A. This is going to sound odd, but have your battery checked
We had the same problem, usually it would happen
on offramps, coasting to the stop sign from high speeds, it was worse when the car was warm. Turned out to be a bad cell
on our battery. Didn't affect starting, for some reason affected idling.
I hope this isn't one of the simple things
you already checked...
Parking Sensor Question:
hello all ! ok i got this question maybe you guys can help me answer , I just got a parking sensor system , I would
like to install the cleaness and neatest way possiable. The four sensors that install in the bumper shield has about
8 feet of wire each , can you guys give me a idea how to run theses wires run inside the cargo area with out drilling
if possiable ,, or maybe run under the cargo door? There has to be a way to lead them in with looking like a mess ? The
wire from the controller to the display i will run under the carpeting and into the transmition cover , this i got figured
out , but geting them sensor wires into the cargo area without having the wires showing . . i have the 2004 jeep liberty
limited ,, any suggestion would be helpful .. , or if anyone knows of a site givng detail on how to install in a liberty
would be helpful .. thanks john
some Answers to the Question:
Re:Parking Sensors
There is a very large rubber grommet in the passenger side rear quarter panel that you could punch a
hole in, pass the wires through and then seal with black RTV sealant. It is the grommet designated for the trailer wiring package.

Changing My Brakes
I need to replace the pads and turn my rotors on my 02 Sport. I have never worked on a Chrysler product before. Is
there a special wrench for the caliper? Also want to turn my rotors. Will they slide off as a normal two wheel drive
vehicle will, or are they tied to the front jackshafts??
Some of the answer to the question:
Re: 02 Liberty Front Brakes The caliper comes off after removing the two caliper mounting
bolts that screw in horizontally from the inside of each caliper. The rotors slip right off the hubs with very little
effort. If they are stuck tap them a bit with a soft hammer if necessary to brake them loose. Jeff
Re: 02 Liberty Front Brakes
Easiest brake job I have ever done on a Jeep, or any vehicle for that matter. Two ( I believe 12 mm,
but don't hold me to it ) bolts holding the calipers to the mount. Once removed the caliper slides right off. Pads pop
off the caliper, new ones in,,,caliper bolts back in, shouldn't take more than 10 minutes per side.
Happy wrenching, John
Best Tires For Rain
Hello, I'm a new member but old Jeep Lib owner (got mine the first year and still LOVE it...although the 2008s
look GREAT!) Anyway, I have a set of cheap tires on it, which do very poorly in the rain. Any suggestions for a new
set????? Thanks and looking forwarding to reading!
Answers to this Question:
While there will always be people who prefer one exotic tire or another, I think that it can be said that the nearest
thing to a consensus that has emerged on this group as to the best general-purpose Liberty tire is the Michelin Cross
Terrain, widely available at decent prices through Wal-Mart, among other places. They provide a noticeable improvement
in ride and a huge improvement in wet traction over the stock Goodyear tires.
I'll agree with John l as having experienced these benefits myself with the Cross-Terrains. Joe jeep
Hi all ,
this tires are not cheap but there grate in rain, snow and wear good BRIDGESTONE DUELER A/T REVO .I have a set on my
wifes lib they have around 40000 mils on them and i think i can get about 30 or 40000 miles on them I like Bridgestones
A/t Myself great Tractions also alittle pricey like $150.00 Each but is worth every penny

Power Window fuses?
My power mirrors have misterously stoped working on my 2005 liberty. I was looking at the manual and it does not list
a fuse that controls that. Any suggestions as to what is causing this problem? has anyone encountered it before?
Thanks
a lot in advance. Some of the answers:
Re: power mirror fuse.
`05 Liberty Factory Service Manual shows the power mirrors are fused. Fuse #19 and #30.
Fuse # 25 is shown in the diagram associated with it as well. Check those fuses, if they keep blowing let us know, and we
will try and get you a copy of the pertinent info here. I cannot paste the info onto this web page, it won't let me. They
have to do that to keep the wild bunch from overloading everything I am sure. But anyway, check those fuses and let
us know if that won't take care of your problem.
Re: Fuse for Power Mirrors power mirror fuse. Yes mine have not worked sense i have
first bought my 04 Liberty and when i took it in for the Ball Joint recall to be fixed i told them and they checked
it and said that it was a switch of some kind in the door that went bad and that they would order the part for me and
call me when it was in..... this was at (Junction in Chardon ohio) about 6 to 8 months ago and i have yet to here from
them telling me that the part is in .... My jeep is still under warranty so it wont cost me anything to have it fixed
( I got an 8 year 80,000 mile bumper to bumper warranty on it ) but it seems that this dealer at Junction has a bad
rep for not gettng back to people about them fixing there Jeeps ... so i may have to just take it to a different dealer
and have them fix it for me.
Dunno if this helped or not but it seems like ur having the same prob as i have with
mine.
