Do some Fancy cluster Ligth work on my Libby. (( best to follow your manual to make sure everything is right .. this
exsample is just an idea of how. also check to find out what light bulbs goes in your Cluster panel
A quick look in the service manual gives us instructions about how to replace lights in your dash. They are
incandescnet lights and should be available at your Jeep dealer. If anyone knows the p/n for the lights, please post it here
and I'll update this HOW-TO.
CLUSTER BEZEL REMOVAL (1) Remove the drives
side trim bezels. (Refer to 23 - BODY/INSTRUMENT PANEL/INSTRUMENT PANEL DRIVER SIDE BEZEL - REMOVAL) (BP: I think this
procedure is covered elsewhere, I'll try and update this as time allows) (2) Remove the instrument panel top cover. (Refer
to 23 - BODY/INSTRUMENT PANEL/INSTRUMENT PANEL TOP COVER - REMOVAL) (BP: I think this procedure is covered elsewhere,
I'll try and update this as time allows) (3) Remove the seven screws and remove the cluster bezel.
CLUSTER REMOVAL (1) Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable. (2) Remove the cluster bezel from
the instrument panel. (Refer to 23 - BODY/INSTRUMENT PANEL/CLUSTER BEZEL - REMOVAL). (BP: See above) (3) Remove the
four screws that secure the instrument cluster to the instrument panel (Fig. 3). (4) Pull the instrument cluster rearward far enough to access and disconnect the instrument panel wire harness connector
for the cluster from the cluster connector receptacle. (5) Remove the instrument cluster from the instrument panel.
CLUSTER BULB This procedure applies to each of the incandescent cluster illumination
lamp and bulb holder units. (1) Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable. (2) Remove the instrument cluster
from the instrument panel. (Refer to 8 - ELECTRICAL/INSTRUMENT CLUSTER - REMOVAL). (BP: See above) (3) Turn the bulb
holder counterclockwise about sixty degrees on the cluster electronic circuit board (Fig. 4).
To reassemble, follow directions in reverse!
